Tab: Administration/Entities

The Administration/Entities tab is visible only to users with permission to see this tab. This tab is intended for administrators to set entities within Meiro Business Explorer to other users. 

It is important to pay attention to each tab since it may influence the way Meiro Business Explorer will perform. 

The "Entities" tab contains the following:

  • Sources tab where data sources are managed. 
  • Events tab where events are managed.
  • Identity Stitching tab where identity stitching rules are configured.
  • Attributes tab where attributes are managed.
  • Meta attributes tab where meta attributes are managed.
  • Attribute labels tab where labels are managed. 
  • Destinations tab where destinations are managed.

Sources tab

In the Sources tab, it is possible to:

  • Create, edit, and show-hide data sources.
  • Manage the display of sources within the Analytics tab/ Diagnostic Dashboard and across Meiro Business Explorer.

Sources marked with a system tag cannot be edited or hidden. You may copy the source on the detail page to create a new one.


A full list of connected sources is available in the Data Library tab/ Sources tab.

Events tab

In the Events tab, it is possible to:

  • Create, edit, and show-hide events.

Events marked with a system tag cannot be hidden. On the detail page, you may edit the Schema section or copy the event to create a new one.

Identity Stitching tab

In the Identity Stitching tab, it is possible to:

  • Create, edit, and delete rules that will apply to identity stitching.

Identity graphs for each customer profile are available in the Customer Profile/ Identity tab.


Warning: To set identity stitching, it is important to define Events first.

Warning: Edited rules will be applied to new events (not historical ones).

Attributes tab

In the Attributes tab, it is possible to:

  • Create, edit, and show-hide attributes.

Attributes marked with a 'system' tag cannot be edited or hidden, but you may still assign labels to them.

Meta attributes tab

In the Meta attributes tab, it is possible to:

  • set meta attributes that will be used through Meiro Business Explorer

Attribute labels tab

In the Attribute label tab, it is possible to:

-Create, edit, and delete labels.


Labels can be assigned to attributes and help to manage attributes across Meiro Business Explorer. The full list of attributes and labels is in the Data library tab/ Attribute tab.

Destinations tab

In the Destination tab, it is possible to:

  • Edit, and delete the destinations.

The full list of connected destinations is in the Data library tab/ Destinations tab.


Warning: It is not possible to add a destination within this tab. It needs to be done by the Meiro team.
