Available roles permissions

By default, there is only the administrator role created. Besides that, roles can be fully customized with a chosen set of permissions.

Remember: The administration role is marked with the ‘system’ tag and has all permissions granted. This system role cannot be edited or deleted. 

Permissions

Profiles

Search

This permission enables users to access the Profiles tab and search for customer profiles. 

Detail

This permission enables users to see the Profile Detail page. Please note that if access to Profiles/ Search is not allowed, then the Detail tab to the customer profile will be possible to see only within segments available according to the permissions set.

Create events

This permission enables users to create profile events using the API 

Segments

List all custom segments

This permission enables users to see a list of all segments (for all filters: My Segments, Shared With Me, Others), including the ones one does not have access to.

View all custom segments

This permission enables users to view details of all segments (for all filters: My Segments, Shared With Me, Others). Users will be able to edit segments only with edit access granted, by default, users will have view-only access.

Edit all custom segments

This permission enables users to edit all available segments (for all filters: My Segments, Shared With Me, Others). For users with this access is not possible to set a "view-only" level of access to the segment.

Create custom segment

This permission enables the creation of segments in the Custom Segments tab.

List featured segments

This permission enables users to see a list of all featured segments. Users have access to segments they created, even if this access is disabled.

This permission enables users to view all featured segment details.

Create/ edit featured segments

This permission enables users to create and edit all featured segments.

Edit Smart Segments This permission enables setting up Smart Segments that will be visible in the Segments tab/ Smart Segments tab.

View segment insights

This access enables users to view insights for each segment under the Segment tab.

Export to all

This access enables exporting segments to destinations. You can specify exactly which destination your user will have access to. In this way, you can grant access only to destinations that are needed for your users.

If the toggle 'Run Mobile Push campaigns' is disabled, then the 'Export to all' toggle is disabled as well.

View tags

This permission enables users to view/ edit the Tags tab within the Segments tab. 

Edit tags

This permission enables users to edit the Tags tab within the Segments tab.

Analytics

View Diagnostic Dashboard

This permission enables users to view the Diagnostic Dashboard tab.

View License Usage

This permission enables access to the Licence Usage section in Diagnostic Dashboard.

View Insights

This permission allows users to access the Insights tab and compare insights for a segmented audience with a global audience under the Segments tab. Remember that to view insights for each segment, the Segments/Insights option must be enabled.

View Reporting

This permission enables users to view the Reporting tab. 

View All Funnels

allow users to access all non-deleted funnel groups and their funnels. 

Edit All Funnelsallow users to create or modify funnels/line charts of all funnel groups.

Channels

View web banners & promo codes

This permission enables users to view the pop-up and native banners under the Web tab & promo codes tab.

Edit web banners & promo codes

This permission enables editing of the pop-up and native banners under the Web tab & promo codes.

View Mobile Push campaigns

This permission enables users to view campaigns under the Mobile Push tab (visible upon configuring the Mobile Push channel).

Edit & Run Mobile Push campaigns

This permission enables creating, editing, and running Mobile Push campaigns (visible upon configuring the Mobile Push channel).

View Email campaigns

This permission enables users to view campaigns under the Emails tab (visible upon configuring the Email channel).

Edit & Run Email campaigns

This permission enables creating, editing, and running of Email campaigns (visible upon configuring the Email channel). This permission also enables the creation of email campaigns using templates.

Edit email blocklist

This permission enables users to block and unblock email address(es) in the email consent attribute under the Profile detail page.

Data library

View Attributes

This permission enables users to view the Attributes tab within the Data library tab. 

View Events

This permission enables users to view the Events tab within the Data library tab. 

View Sources & Destinations This permission enables the Sources and Destinations tabs within the Data library tab.

Administration

 



Settings This permission enables users to view and edit the Administration/Configurations/Settings tabs.
Insights

This permission enables users to view and edit the Insights tab within the Administration/Configurations tab. 

Reporting This access enables users to edit reports within the Administration tab.
Channels This access enables users to view and edit channels under the Administration/Configurations/Channels tab.
Lookalike audience This access enables users to view and edit the Lookalike settings tab within the Administration tab.
Funnels

Allows users to access funnel groups and trash under the administration tab.

Entities This permission enables users to edit tabs in the Administration/Entities tab: Sources, Destinations, Attributes, Meta attributes, Labels, Events, and Identity Stitching tabs).

Users Activity

This permission enables users to view the Users Activity tab within the Administration/User setup tab. 

Users & Roles

This permission enables users to view and edit the Users tab within the Administration/User setup tab. 

Logs

Access is needed for admins to see the application logs link (Users Settings tab).

Attribute visibility protection

Specify attribute labels for which this user role will not view values in:

  • Profile Search results, & detail page of Profiles,
  • Attribute examples in the Attribute tab, events examples in the Events tab,
  • Insights tab (both in Analytics, as well as in the segments details)
  • Conditions in segment details,
  • Exports to the CSV  
  • Mobile Push preview

Warning: Please be mindful of to whom administration access has been granted. In the Administration tab multiple aspects of product and security settings can be set, therefore by default should be available only to users that will maintain Meiro Business Explorer.
